Okay - so how does one do a "clickie"? [image] Anyone? Help?

Also - this one has had me stumped for quite a while - I have tried to get smilies to appear in the signature box, but alls that shows up is the detail info but no smilie. I can get pictures to show up plenty fine - just not smilies. What might I be doing wrong? ???

This is how you do a clickie

[url*=whatever*]clickie[/url]

Remove the two stars* and the whatever put the url of the site you want to link to in place of whatever and bold the word clickie

Someone else very kindly taught me this one ;)

Thank you, Angela! [image] I think I have figured out the answer to the second question I asked, too. Did some trial and error and now, I'm thinking, I already figured this out before! Urg! [image]

I'm not really getting what you're telling me about the "clickie" (am I typing all of that? ??? ) but now I have something to work with. Happy-Happy! [image]

MTA: Nope, it didn't work - you can see my results down in my signature box. [image]

Hi. 8-)

You need to make a bit of a modification to your tags. Before the web address in the first bracket set you need to insert a "url=" (with no quotes). Then instead of having the web address again in the second set of brackets you need a "/url" instead.

So it should be [url*=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57tK6aQS_H0]clickie[/url*] Just remove the *'s and the clickie should work, I put them in like Angela did so that the code would show up instead of the clickie.

Happy Clickie-ing. [image]

JennaL - Thank you! [image]

With your additional info - It Worked!!!!! [image]

Now, how do I "Bold" it - the word "clickie" - like Angela said to do? I don't see how to do that when one is in "Modify Profile" mode.

change "clickie" to "[b*]clickie[/b*]" again without quotes or *'s. If you want italics, change the b's to i's. If you want it underlined, change the b's or i's to u's.

Glad I could help. [image]

HEY! Where are all my new, custom, super-duper, meticulously snaffled and jealously guarded "User Smilies"??????? [image]

I changed skins - is it possible that "User Smilies" are indigenous to the skin they were uploaded to? Say it ain't so!!!!!! [image]

Anybody - CC - [image] - know why I don't have my "User Smilies" anymore? ???

User smilies are stored in your cookies so, if you clear them out, they will disappear. Likewise, if you use a different browser or even a different computer, they will not be there either. :)

Thing is, CC, none of the above that you mentioned happened. I knew those actions could have an impact - OH! but wait, wait - I was on the Help Line with Apple yesterday! That has to have been it! I usually never click on an ad but I had gotten myself into one of those ads accidentally that was unfortunately a snare (of all the ones to stumble into!) and found my computer frozen. I had to call Apple and since it happened with my Safari Browser the guy had me do something to "reset" the browser and lift out the spyware. Must have been that! :-[

Anyway, I spent time last night re-setting all my smilies! So all is well. [image]

I never knew how to do a 'clickie' either. I'll have a go next time I'm adding a link. Thanks :-*

My question is just about my username. I have 3 I use on forums and want to simplify things. I was hoping it was OK to just add my username for other forums to the one I use here? So its Lady Newie/Mulubinba??

Your username is unchangeable for logging in purposes. Your display name, which you can edit in your profile, can be changed to whatever you like. :)
