You can't do that yourself Sandra - I have to do it for you. Once you make 1000 posts, you're entitled to a title of your choice and a smiley, if you want one.

Okay, thanks, CC!
I never noticed that those that have the smilieys are over 1000 posts!
Thanks for your quick reply!
Sandra

I have resized several images in my photobucket account to the thumbnail or avatar size so they won't explode off the screen, but they still look large (ginormus), in the preview.
Also, why do images sometimes appear larger in the preview of a post than in the actual post. This happens all the time, for example in the crinkle thread.
My images may actually be a respectable size but I won't know until I post.

This is probably down to pixel size of an image ( feel free to correct me anyone!!)
if the resolution of the image is too high, then it will effect the dimensions of the overall pic....
do you have a photo package you can put your pics directly into to resize them, other than photobucket???

I believe this happens because CC installed a code which automatically reduces image size to certain limits - this is not to cause scrolling problems for people on a "low" screen resolution and also to enable images to load faster for people on dial-up.
So once it is posted, this code should automatically (in most cases, admittedly not always immediately) "resize" your image if it was too large.
Hope I'm making sense here, if not, feel free to ignore as my mind is a bit at the moment

It's scaled down by the board. We have a maximum signature size of 500 by 200 pixels and anything larger will be reduced automatically.
The reason behind this is extra wide signatures can force people to have to scroll from side to side just to read posts if they have a screen resolution of 800 x 600.

Hello everybody
I would love to post my first sig but.... when I try to right click into my message I get function disabled. Sorta like me really...
So then I had a go with the image shack and it turns into [ad]. Not my best work so to speak!!
So in my musings I'm wondering if it is something to do with me. (It's always about me really) I've had a look at as many settings in IE as I understand and got nowhere...
Please put me out of my misery. What button do I press now??

Hi Charliegrrrl
The only place on C19 where the right click is disabled is the Graphics Board. Is this where this is happening? If that's the case then you need permission before you use any of those images.
If not, then all you need to do is to add your chosen signature image into your profile, not forgetting to use the image tags [img], assuming the image is online.
